لقد جاء ديننا الحنيف ليُعلي من شأن الإنسان، ويحرم الاعتداء على النفس البريئة، خاصة الأطفال الذين هم زينة الحياة وقرة الأعين، ورمز البراءة والنقاء. يقول الله تعالى في كتابه الكريم، مذكراً بقدسية الحياة البشرية: ﴿مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنَّهُ مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا﴾ [المائدة: 32]. هذه الآية الكريمة تضع حجم الجريمة في نصابها الحقيقي، وتجعل من قتل نفسٍ واحدةٍ كقتل البشرية جمعاء، فما بالنا بمئات النفوس البريئة من الأطفال الذين لم يروا من الدنيا إلا القتل والدمار؟! إن هذه المأساة تستدعي منا وقفة تأمل، لا لمجرد الشجب والإدانة، بل لدفع الضمائر الحية للتحرك نحو وقف هذا النزيف الإنساني، وتوفير الحماية والأمان للأطفال في كل مكان، فهم مستقبل الأمة وأملها.
